Mauro Zarate has left Watford to join Al Nasr in the United Arab Emirates on loan for the rest of the season.
The Premier League club retain an option to recall the forward in the winter transfer window.
Zarate, 30, moved to Watford from Fiorentina in January but only made three appearances before suffering a knee injury.
He had played for the Hornets' reserves this fall, but will now continue his recovery in the UAE with Al Nasr, who are coached by former Italy boss Cesare Prandelli.
