Watford FC: Troy Deeney to serve three-match ban after admitting violent conduct charge

Troy Deeney will serve a three-match ban after admitting a charge of violent conduct, the Football Association has announced.

Deeney, the Watford forward, clashed with Joe Allen during the Hornets' defeat to Stoke on Saturday, appearing to press his thumbs into the Wales international's face.

Allen and Deeney were both booked for their roles in the clash, though the 29-year-old was later charged with violent conduct by the FA.

He has accepted the charge, and there will be no attempt to appeal the three-match suspension handed to him.
