Football supporters are used to seeing the game they love evolve, but all of a sudden the sport seems to be changing at a faster rate than ever before. Transfer fees and wages are hitting unprecedented levels, goal-line technology is upon us and referees are marking their achievements with headline-grabbing tattoos. Uncharted territory indeed. The venues in which we watch our football are changing, too, with Watford visiting West Ham United's shiny new home for the first time this weekend.
Not all the changes football is undergoing are bad. A cap on away ticket prices in the Premier League was a welcome initiative, while Celtic's introduction of a safe standing section will surely lead to clubs south of the border pushing for the same.
