Watford are close to finalising a deal for Danish winger Philip Zinckernagel whose contract with Norwegian champions Bodo Glimt expires in January 1.
The 26-year old had a medical on Tuesday ahead of agreeing terms on what is expected to be a four and a half year contract.
Zinckernagel was player of the year for Bodo Glimt scoring 19 goals and turned down an offer from Fenerbahce to move to Vicarage Road.
He is set to be the first signing of new manager Xisco Munoz's reign after he was appointed to take over from Vladimir Ivic earlier in December.
