Watford manager Marco Silva hit back at Sam Allardyce after the new Everton manager questioned his track record.
The Merseyside club had sought to recruit Silva before turning to Allardyce and speaking on Friday, the Everton boss said: 'I am not criticising Marco Silva but Marco Silva's track record has got no comparison whatsoever with mine. He got Hull City relegated (last season).'
Silva, however, said it was strange to compare a 63-year-old coach with a 40-year old such as himself.

At the age of 40, Allardyce had managed Limerick in the League of Ireland and had a short spell as caretaker manager at Preston North End.
