Marco Silva refused to offer Watford assurances over his future amid speculation he could be on his way to Everton.
Sources have confirmed that Watford rejected Everton's first approach for the Hornets' manager and that Silva is interested in leaving for Goodison Park, where Ronald Koeman was sacked last month.
Silva, 40, has only overseen 12 matches for Watford and has inspired a promising start to the season since his summer appointment.
When questioned about the Everton reports at his news conference to preview Sunday's match against West Ham, Silva said: "I don't know about an offer or not, or what's happened.
