Meet the new boss. Same as the old boss.
That was what it must have felt like for West Ham’s fans at the end of the Premier League match against Watford, when goals from Will Hughes and Richarlison secured the Hornets a well-deserved 2-0 victory to end their run of three successive defeats.
David Moyes’ debut as Hammers’ manager started unceremoniously, Hughes netting the opening goal inside the opening 15 minutes. West Ham had chances – Cheikhou Kouyate and Marko Arnautovic both wasting clear-cut opportunities – to level, but the overall performance showed little improvement upon those put in during Slaven Bilic’s reign.
