Support for the adorable Bradley Lowery continued at the Stadium of Light on Saturday afternoon with Watford captain Troy Deeney presenting a Christmas card signed by his players to counterpart Jermain Defoe.
The five-year-old's brave battle against a rare form of cancer has captured the heart of the nation over the last few months and inspired thousands of people to donate to fund his treatment.
Before Sunderland's clash with Watford, Deeney met with Defoe in the tunnel to present a Christmas card, with a picture soon appearing on the club's official Instagram page.
The caption read: '@t_deeney presents Jermain Defoe with a Christmas card for Sunderland fan Bradley Lowery on behalf of the #watfordfc squad.
