West Ham and Watford are targeting out-of-favour Inter Milan defender Andrea Ranocchia, according to reports in Italy.
The 28-year-old has been left out in the cold this season, making just nine appearances.
Both Premier League clubs are in the market for a defender and believe the Italy international fits the bill, despite a lack of game time recently.
Ranocchia is said to be keen on a move to England and is set to end his Serie A career during the January window.
Hammers boss Slaven Bilic wants defensive reinforcements, but a chance to reunite with his former San Siro boss Walter Mazzarri may tip the balance in favour of The Hornets.
