The only real surprise was that we had to wait so long. Millwall of League One were clearly superior to Premier League Watford here and ultimately took a deserved FA Cup scalp on a weekend of them.
They’d created all the chances and could have won handsomely with a little more composure. They bullied their higher-level opponents as Millwall teams often do, they huffed and puffed, and eventually blew Watford out of the competition.
