Manchester United 'have Sporting Lisbon boss Ruben Amorim on their radar as a future manager' after the young coach, 36, won their first title in 19 years and led them to the Champions League knockouts

Manchester United have identified Sporting Lisbon manager Ruben Amorim as a long-term successor for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Solskjaer was given his marching orders after Manchester United suffered an embarrassing 4-1 defeat to Watford at Vicarage Road last weekend.

Ralf Rangnick has signed a six-month deal to take over as the interim manager, but the club are still on the hunt to find a permanent solution.
