Brighton eased to a 2-0 victory against Watford at Vicarage Road on Saturday to pile the pressure on their opponents in their battle to avoid relegation.
Roy Hodgson's side entered the game three points from safety, and they suffered a blow just before half time when Neal Maupay expertly steered home Tariq Lamptey's cross to put Brighton in front.
The Hornets fought back after the break as Emmanuel Dennis hit the bar with a fierce strike, but Adam Webster wrapped up all three points for the visitors when he poked home from close range with eight minutes remaining.
