Watford striker Mamadou Doumbia has been ruled out for a "few weeks" after suffering a hamstring injury in Saturday's defeat at home to Millwall.
Ahead of the Hornets' midweek clash with Swansea City, head coach Tom Cleverley confirmed he will be without the 19-year-old until after the international break.
"It's disappointing for the player," Cleverley told BBC Three Counties Radio.
"It'll be a few weeks so we'll miss Mamadou for the next couple of games certainly and we'll assess more in the international break."
Doumbia was clearly distraught when he went off during Saturday's 2-1 home defeat by Millwall.
