The Mystics announced on Monday that they have re-signed LaToya Sanders to a contract. She was an unrestricted free agent during the 2018-19 offseason.
Sanders averaged 10.2 points and 6.4 rebounds in the 2018 season where she helped the Mystics get to the WNBA Finals for the first time in franchise history. Along the way, the she also was able to do this playing out of position as a center with Elena Delle Donne moving to power forward with Emma Meesseman missing the year due to her commitment to the Belgian national team.
In a press release, General Manager and Head Coach Mike Thibault said “LaToya Sanders was a huge key to our success last season.
