made two roster changes Monday. One they decided on their own. The other was forced upon them by injury.
The Wizards waived center Daniel Ochefu, who did not have a guaranteed contract. Ochefu was signed as an undrafted free agent in 2016. He was an odd fit on a roster with two true other centers in a league that was moving away from the big, powerful man-in-the-middle type.
The other change came from second-year shooting guard Sheldon Mac. Mac reportedly tore his Achilles tendon Sunday night in the Wizards’ preseason game against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
