Bradley Beal went off for 38 points and Otto Porter chipped in 19 more as the Wizards overcame John Wall’s absence to take down the Raptors in Toronto 107-96 and get back over .500 for the season.
Even without Wall to set the tempo, Washington opened the game with a 25-8 run. The Wizards rode that advantage throughout the half and went into halftime with a 16 point lead.
Toronto’s reserves closed the gap in the fourth quarter, getting the deficit down to three with 6:37 left, but that’s as close as they would get.
