Wizards vs. Nuggets final score: Washington can’t overcome early struggles in 108-100 loss to Denver

The Wizards couldn’t score early and they didn’t score late in their 108-100 loss to the Denver Nuggets on Friday night.

For the second straight game, Washington stumbled out of the gates. They only scored 16 points in the first quarter while shooting 33 percent from the field. They found their offensive rhythm in the second quarter, but didn’t do anything to slow down the Nuggets on the other end. Denver progressively added to their lead and took a 14-point lead early in the third quarter.

Bradley Beal and Markieff Morris got hot to get the Wizards back in the game, and even helped Washington take the lead for a short time late in the third, but it didn’t last.
