Unfortunately, even when we should be happy the Wizards are playing a game, this is the second time in a week that a game happens on a day when a mass shooting happens, though it happened outside of the United States.
Earlier this morning, someone in Utrecht, Netherlands shot and killed three people and injured five others in a tram. Utrecht is about 25 miles southeast of Amsterdam. Fortunately, the Dutch national police (their law enforcement is national unlike the U.S.) caught a suspect earlier today and believe it could be terrorism-related.
We have always had a fair amount of Dutch Wizards fans in the comments over the years and the Netherlands isn’t a country that had actual incidents like this happen.
