The Washington Wizards lost to the Miami Heat 106-90 on Monday, falling to 11-49 on the season. Miami had just nine available players, but it didn’t matter as they cruised to a home win.
Washington started the first quarter trading buckets with the Heat before Miami pulled away to take a 32-24 lead into the second frame.
Terry Rozier paced Miami with a few triples and Bam Adebayo dominated the glass as Miami saw success on both ends. Bub Carrington drained a pair of threes but the Wizards still trailed at halftime, 55-36.
Kyshawn George came alive in the third quarter, totaling 10 points and seven rebounds before catching an inadvertent elbow from Adebayo that left him on the ground for a while.
