Miami’s Jordan Mickey knocked down a last second three pointer to hand the Wizards their first preseason loss of 2017 by a score of 117-115 on Wednesday night.
The Wizards were finally set to face some real NBA competition in Miami, but the Heat followed the pattern of Washington’s other opponents this preseason by resting their main contributors. Dion Waiters, Hassan Whiteside, and Goran Dragic all did not play in Wednesday’s matchup. Despite the lack of star power, Miami still managed to keep the game extremely competitive.
