The Wizards were eliminated from the 2018 Summer League Tournament in an 89-74 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers on Wednesday afternoon.
The Clippers opened the game on a 17-6 run to set the tone early and outscored the Wizards by 16 points in the first quarter. Washington kept the deficit from growing in the second quarter, but then the Clippers’ starters ripped off a 19-6 run to start the second half and open up a 28 point lead. The Wizards responded with a 25-5 run later in the half to narrow the deficit, but it was too late to change the final outcome.
