The Wizards are moving Jodie Meeks, a future second round pick and cash considerations to the Milwaukee Bucks, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reports.
It’s unclear whether there are protections on the pick to this point. The Wizards aren’t getting anything back in return, but by dumping Meeks off to the Bucks are opening another roster slot bringing their number down to 13. Meeks will be traded into Milwaukee’s traded player exception for Greg Monroe.
Meeks didn’t want to be in Washington anymore. He had fallen out of the rotation and made that clear last season that he wanted out when he demanded a trade.
