After completing a five-team sign-and-trade to acquire Spencer Dinwiddie, Kyle Kuzma, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and Aaron Holiday, the Wizards have reportedly re-signed Raul Neto.
Last season was the best of Neto’s career by a significant margin. He contributed with three-point shooting, playmaking and toughness when he entered the starting lineup when rookie forward Deni Avdija was sidelined with an ankle injury. Terms of the deal have not yet been disclosed.
Neto figures to be the team’s primary backup PG behind Dinwiddie. Retaining him is a solid move that solidifies the team’s depth. He should be a steady hand to guide the second unit and initiate the offense.
