Wizards notch first win of season in OKC, 97-85

Oklahoma City has not been friendly to the Wizards historically, but it didn’t take Washington long to take control in their latest visit on Friday night. With Thomas Bryant’s double-double (21 points, 11 rebounds, three blocks) leading the way, the Wizards delivered on both ends of the floor en route to their first victory of the new season, 97-85.

Bryant got going early and set the tone for the Wizards, tallying 10 of his points in the first frame alone. He and Rui Hachimura (19 points) buoyed Washington in the scoring department for much of the evening, as Bradley Beal (17 points) struggled again from the field through the first three quarters.
