Wizards hire Antawn Jamison for front office role

The Washington Wizards continued to restructure their front office Wednesday — and this time, they brought in a familiar face.

Washington hired former NBA forward Antawn Jamison to be its director of pro personnel, the team announced. Jamison spent six of his 16 seasons with the Wizards, averaging 20.8 points and 8.9 rebounds per game. He made the All-Star Game twice and the playoffs four times with the Wizards.

Jamison has served the last two years as a scout with the Los Angeles Lakers.

The Wizards restructured their front office this offseason, with owner Ted Leonsis forming “Monumental Basketball” — a group which aims to create synergy between the Wizards, Mystics, Capital City Go-Go and Wizards District Gaming.
