Fresh off a 105-103 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves, the 7-41 Washington Wizards traveled to Charlotte to take on the Hornets. Lamelo Ball and Brandon Miller didn’t play for Charlotte, and Alex Sarr missed his fourth consecutive game for Washington.
The Wizards defeated the Hornets, 124-114.
The opening frame started with a bang for Washington as Kyle Kuzma dropped 13 points on an efficient 5-9 shooting. The Wizards drilled a pair of last-second free throws to take a 31-29 advantage into the second quarter.
Kuzma sat to begin the second frame as Corey Kispert came off the bench to drop 21 first-half points on 5-7 shooting from 3-point range.
