Amidst a tidal wave of bad news, the Washington Wizards finally have some good news. Jordan McRae, despite currently being sidelined with injury, will be getting paid.
Candace Buckner of the Washington Post reports that the team plans to fully guarantee the remainder of McRae’s $1.6 million salary. This means McRae — who is on his third team in just five seasons — will not be waived by December 20th. He’s already been guaranteed $600,000 for the season, but on December 20, the final $1 million or so on his contract kicks in, as well.
