Remember when I wrote about players the Washington Wizards might use their disabled player exception on? Well, they decided against signing any of those players. Instead, Ernie Grunfeld thought the exception should be used on journeyman Ryan Hollins.
Washington had interest in Hollins this summer, but the 7-footer signed with the Memphis Grizzlies instead.
The Wizards are currently 6-8 and they’re 12th in the Eastern Conference. Things aren’t looking so good. So, how can Ryan Hollins help? To put it bluntly: he can’t.
Hollins isn’t someone who’s going to come in and give Washington a significant lift off the bench.
