I can’t say that the Ryan Hollins era was particularly memorable.
The journeyman 7-footer was brought to the nation’s capital after Marcin Gortat went home to Poland to visit his ailing mother and Nene was out with an injured whatever. Seriously — Nene will never return, so it’s easiest to cope with it now. He’s been out since 1995.
Hollins is an athletic big man who’s capable of running the floor, but he’s unfortunately incapable of doing anything that a big man needs to do — like, catch the ball and finish inside.
