The Washington Wizards had 15 players under guaranteed contracts coming into training camp, which is the most allowed by the league. Typically, teams invite up to five additional players to training camp and preseason. While that’s the case, some speculated whether or not Washington would have trouble finding players due to their roster situation.
However, when the time came to invite players, Ernie Grunfeld did a solid job of supplementing his already stable group. Dez Wells, as far as I know, is the only player that declined an invitation from the team.
