Washington Wizards Need To Sign A Veteran Leader

The Washington Wizards wanted to increase their pace and space this past season, but their roster wasn’t built for the up-tempo style.

Instead of signing young, versatile players that can run with John Wall and shoot from the outside, Ernie Grunfeld re-signed numerous veteran players and Randy Wittman was forced to play them out of their comfort zone.

The likes of Kris Humphries and Drew Gooden were suddenly asked to play the stretch four role, even though they rarely took shots from deep throughout the course of their careers.
