Now that Kevin Seraphin will be joining the New York Knicks next season, the Washington Wizards‘ already offensively-challenged bench has taken another blow.
While Seraphin only averaged 6.6 points per game last season, the 6’10” post player consistently crashed the boards, being one of only five Wizards to average over one offensive rebound per game.
Although Washington’s starting lineup should not feel the loss of Seraphin, the issues for the Wizards’ front court will likely come to a head when the bench is called upon next season.
Without heavyweights Nene and Marcin Gortat in the game, Washington will find itself undersized with only 33-year-old Drew Gooden with a height comparable to that of Seraphin’s.
