Kevin Seraphin‘s departure from the nation’s capital this summer was inevitable. The French big man seemed ready to leave the Washington Wizards and was open about potentially seeking other options after the team was bounced out of the NBA Playoffs this past season.
Today it was reported that Seraphin has agreed to a one-year, $2.8 million deal with the New York Knicks.
Even prior to having a full roster, Seraphin’s return to D.C. seemed very unlikely.
He expressed interest in having a chance to start and earn playing time, and while he likely won’t start in New York, he’ll have the opportunity to play more than he would in Washington.
