Every summer, the Washington Wizards announce some sort of random injury or surgery that makes our hearts collectively sink into our stomachs.
In 2013, the Wizards announced Emeka Okafor‘s neck injury and eventually traded him to the Phoenix Suns along with a first round pick for Marcin Gortat.
While the timetable the Wizards gave didn’t make it seem as if he would return that season, we all pretty much expected him to continue his career once it was over.
Okafor still hasn’t stepped onto the court.
