We’ve counted the Washington Wizards out of the NBA Playoffs at least a dozen times this season. Whenever it looked like they would finally drop out of the race, Washington strung together a few impressive wins. Right now, the Wizards are coming off three straight wins over the Detroit Pistons, Chicago Bulls and Philadelphia 76ers.
Perhaps more importantly, the Wizards are beginning to playwas with a sense of urgency.
After some embarrassing losses out west, Washington returned home and dominated playoff contenders in D.C. John Wall, in particular, has begun to play All-NBA level ball and his teammates have risen their level of play as well.
