The expected silence from the Washington Wizards arrived during a drawn-out NBA draft on Thursday night.
The Wizards entered and left the draft with no picks. There was a possibility that they would buy their way into the second round, but they instead took in the draft without any movement.
“The people we were looking at weren’t available the time we were looking at,” general manager Ernie Grunfeld said.
Washington began to make moves afterward. They signed 6-foot-7 guard Danuel House out of Texas A&M, according to Yahoo! Sports. They also signed Miami shooting guard Sheldon McClellan to the roster, according to David Aldridge.
