The Washington Wizards planned on playing a different style of basketball this upcoming season and revamped their roster this summer as a result.
Last year Ernie Grunfeld signed multiple big men with hopes of adding depth to the team’s front court. Unfortunately, the Washington Wizards lacked much depth in the back court and their play suffered. With virtually half of their roster composed of big men, their archaic style wasn’t conducive to winning games late in the season.
With that said, Washington was forced to rely on the likes of Rasual Butler and Will Bynum throughout the course of the season — both of whom are currently unrestricted free agents.
