The Washington Wizards acquired Jared Dudley from the Milwaukee Bucks for virtually nothing about a year ago. After losing Paul Pierce to the Los Angeles Clippers, the Wizards wanted Dudley to fill the scoring and leadership void created by the departure.
Dudley, who was coming off back surgery, played in 81 games and became one of the Wizards’ most dependable players.
Even though it took Dudley some time to get into playing shape, he was consistently one of the best 3-point shooters in the NBA.
He made 42 percent of his attempts from deep and became the first true stretch-four option the Washington Wizards have had in quite some time.
