Even though the Washington Wizards have a full roster, they’re expected to invite at least a few more players to their training camp.
Dez Wells, a former Maryland standout, was someone the Wizards expected to attend their training camp after he was unselected in this year’s NBA Draft. While the Wizards needed a guard at the time, Wells’ connection to the area and John Wall certainly didn’t hurt his chances.
However, the Wizards filled up their need for backcourt help quickly once the free agency period began.
Ernie Grunfeld signed Alan Anderson and Gary Neal — both players with similar skill sets as Wells.
