Following the selection of Bilal Coulibaly in the first round, the Washington Wizards selected Julian Phillips with the 35th pick in the draft. This was a selection they picked up in the Kristaps Porzingis trade.
Phillips was a member of the All-SEC freshman team this past season. Standing at six-foot-eight, he could easily play either forward position along with Coulibaly and Deni Avdija.
He has pretty high potential for his draft position and is a solid draft pick for 35th in the draft. He is extremely athletic and is praised as a two-way slasher.
Julian Phillips may struggle to break into the rotation of the Wizards
The Wizards already have Corey Kispert, Bilal Coulibaly, and Deni Avdija on the roster.
