The Washington Wizards missed out on Kevin Durant, Al Horford and Ryan Anderson. Then they turned to Ian Mahinmi.
According to The Vertical’s Shams Charania, the Wizards have agreed to a four-year contract with the former Indiana Pacers big man.
Washington wanted to regain their defensive identity and needed to add a center who excels on that end of the floor. Mahinmi is that player, even though he’s going to be 30-years-old shortly after the start of next season.
Free agent Ian Mahinmi has agreed to a four year, $64M deal with Washington, league source tells The Vertical.
