The injury bug around the Washington Wizards has become an all-out infestation: The team announced today that forward Markieff Morris will be out six weeks due to transient cervical neuropraxia.
Morris becomes the latest Wizard to miss a meaningful chunk of time. Earlier this week, John Wall underwent season-ending surgery on his heel. Meanwhile, Otto Porter returned for the first time in nearly a month against the Atlanta Hawks on Wednesday. Dwight Howard hasn’t played since November 18.
What makes Morris’s injury problematic though is that it comes at a position that the team seriously lacks depth.
