After dropping their preseason opener against the New York Knicks, the Washington Wizards captured their first exhibition win against Southeast division rival, the Miami Heat, in a 121-114 victory, Friday in the Captial One Arena.
Despite a slow start in the first half, the Wizards outscored the Heat 70-55 in the final 24 minutes to seal the deal for the win.
Following a tough night from the field in Monday’s game, Bradley Beal led the way with 20 points, going 8-15 from the field. Markieff Morris chipped in a double-double of 13 points and 10 rebounds in the win.
