Ty Lawson did not play a single minute in the NBA’s 2017-18 regular season because he spent his winter for the CBA’s Shandong Golden Stars where they made the semifinals.
Lawson was averaging 25.5 points and 6.5 assists a game in the CBA and was shooting over 40 percent from three, though it was from the FIBA and WNBA length. Since he was coming off postseason experience in China, Lawson wasted no time remaining in “postseason mode” when he made his Wizards debut in Game 2 of their playoff series against the Raptors.
