When someone loses his or her job, in general, the one who lost their job needs a new one. The saying is that often times, it’s not “what you know, it’s who you know.” And that’s what happened to a recent NBA team general manager who lost his job.
Troy Weaver, the former General Manager of the Detroit Pistons, will be a senior front office advisor for the Wizards, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN. Weaver was the Pistons’ GM for the past four seasons, but was not retained when Detroit brought in Trajan Langdon as their President of Basketball Operations last month.
