Not that this comes as a big surprise at this point, but Interim GM Tommy Sheppard has now been promoted to GM per multiple reports, first by Candace Buckner of the Washington Post.
Sheppard has been with the organization for 16 seasons most recently in capacity of Senior Vice President of Basketball Operations. Both Sheppard and Grunfeld joined the organization in 2003.
