Timberwolves reportedly hire Gersson Rosas as President of Basketball Operations

Gersson Rosas, who was reportedly a candidate to be the Wizards’ President of Basketball Operations, has instead taken the same spot with the Minnesota Timberwolves according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

With Rosas off the board, the Wizards are down to three candidates they’ve interviewed: Former Cavaliers and Hawks GM Danny Ferry, Thunder VP Troy Weaver, and Wizards Interim President Tommy Sheppard. Washington could add new candidates to the mix. Nuggets President Tim Connelly has been the biggest name linked to the job, but others could emerge like Nets Assistant GM Trajan Langdon, or even Raptors President Masai Ujiri, who NBC Washington’s Ben Standig reported could be a wild card because of his ties to the area.
