The Washington Wizards are one of the NBA’s worst teams. So it should be no surprise that they are the worst team in the NBA when it comes to filling in the seats.
According to ESPN’s data, the Wizards have the NBA’s lowest utilization rate at 82.7 percent (17,033 bought seats per game in an arena with a 20,356 seat capacity. The utilization rate is far below the Charlotte Hornets with 87.6 percent.
Every time I posted this storyline of the Wizards having the worst attendance rate in the league, I see plenty of pushback because the Wizards have one of the largest arenas in the NBA.
