The Wizards plan on waiving Eugene Omoruyi, according to report

The Washington Wizards plan on waiving forward Eugene Omoruyi, according to Josh Robbins of The Athletic.

The Washington Wizards are expected to waive Eugene Omoruyi today, a league source told @TheAthleticNBA. Omoruyi's salary of $2.2 million for the 2024-25 is non-guaranteed, and waiving him would reduce the Wizards' roster to 16 players, not counting people on two-way contracts.

Omoruyi averaged 4.8 points and 2.0 rebounds per game in the 2023-24 season with Wizards in 43 appearances. He is expected to make $2.2 million next season if he’s on an NBA roster, but this amount is non-guaranteed.
