The NBA regular season is during the late fall, winter and early spring. Since games are played during the entire winter, there is always a chance that snow could pose travel complications for road teams and postponements for home teams.
James Samenow of The Washington Post’s Capital Weather Gang posted on the winter predictions that WRC, WTTG, WJLA, and WUSA-TV made in the last couple weeks. All four stations agreed on this: this winter and an El Niño in the Pacific Ocean will likely have more snow than normal. Samenow and Matt Ross, also of The Washington Post then wrote their own analysis on The Capital Weather Gang stating the same.
